OneDrive: Sharing a "Shared" file

I don't know if this is the right forum to ask my question, but I couldn't fine one specifically for OneDrive.

My friend and I each have free outlook.com accounts (with OneDrive).

I shared a file in OneDrive with my friend. That works fine. The file is accessible in her OneDrive.

She would like to share it with one of her friends that is not in my contacts. It is ok with me if she shares the file.

There doesn't seem to be a way to share a "Shared" file. Is there a way to do that? If not, is there a reason why it is not possible?

First future onedrive questions should be asked here

Your friend doesn't own the file you do so she cant share it with someone else for security.  For that file to be shared (with her friend) either you have to share it with her friend OR have your friend copy the file to her Onedrive and share it with her friend from there.

Hi,

If you want to share the file with someone who is not listed in your contact, you can upload the files to a public folder, then get a link to the file, give the link to your friends\others, then, people who get the link will be able to access the item you're sharing.
